Marine Technician

 

SW Marine is looking for a full time qualified marine mechanic/boat technician. Responsibilities include inspection of boats and motors, troubleshooting, outboard, sterndrive and boat repair, outboard engine installation and rigging, installation of accessories, complete warranty repairs, winterize boats, record cause/correction notes and clock in/out of jobs for repair orders.

 

The individual will be able to follow procedures with attention to detail, keep a clean and safe working area, prioritize and meet deadlines and communicate with customers and staff in a professional manner.  The ideal candidate will have experience with Mercury and Yamaha outboards.  Outboard certifications are preferred, but not required.

Parts Counter Associate

 

SW Marine is seeking a quality, enthusiastic individual to join our team. The right candidate will possess a friendly personality, an ability to multi-task, be a highly motivated self-starter, have some knowledge of boats and the boating lifestyle and above all, a willingness to learn!

 

Essential Skills for this Position:

• Retail sales experience & familiarity with boating are a big plus.

• Excellent communication skills, to effectively deal with customers and colleagues

• Ability to be work efficiently both independently and collaboratively with a team

• Ability and willingness to learn quickly

• Exhibit strong problem solving skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

• A winning attitude

 

Job Duties Include:

• Greeting and checking in Customers

• Answering Phones

• Basic Parts Lookup

• Over the Counter Sales

• Parts Receiving

• Assist other employees as needed

• Monday - Friday daytime schedule with some Saturday mornings

Pay: From $15.00 per hour, negotiable with experience.
